One of the things I noticed last week while I was on my travels, was how many people say they want that paradise. The one thing they are not willing to do is get outside the city they are in to find it.
The one thing we need to do to reach any destination is to leave the place we are at. As I mentioned yesterday so many people have to learn to work their own schedule, work in the strengths they have. But they must be willing to move towards that dream if they are ever going to reach it.
In my travels last week I heard many ideas for business, many people who have great businesses. The one thing they lack to make them successful is a list of customers and clients. I could take this post to talk about the ways to build a list, tell you some great things I have learned from people like Frank Kern, or Fabienne Fredrickson. There are many teachings about how to build the list, but today is what you must be willing to do to get that list.
So many people are not willing to leave where they are to make a path to the place where those customers and clients are. You must be willing to go where the work is. One of the interviews that I read recently was from Don Henley of the Eagles talking about his younger days. In the interview he said he wanted to record music and to do that in the ’70s you needed to go to one of three cities: Nashville, New York, or Los Angeles.
The point today is if you have chosen a path you want to take, you must be willing to go to the place where you can make that dream happen. So are you willing to get started on the path today? Are you willing to leave where you are at to go after that dream?
